Getting Started

How do I create a Cleaning Day NY account?

Once you book your first service, a Cleaning Day NY account is automatically created for you. To set up your account, click the “Sign in” link in your email confirmation, from there you’ll choose your password and you are ready to go.

What is included in a standard cleaning?

IN EVERY ROOM WE …

Clean accessible surfaces of dust and debris, organize, discard trash and recycling, sweep and/or vacuum, swiffer floors.

IN THE KITCHEN WE …

Wipe countertops and cabinet exteriors, wipe down appliance exteriors, clean the stove, clean exterior of microwave.

IN THE BEDROOMS WE …

Change bed linens, clean accessible surfaces of dust and debris, discard trash.

IN THE BATHROOM WE …

Clean toilet, sink and shower (bathtub), clean mirrors and glass, hang or fold towels neatly.

How much will it cost?

When determining your home cleaning cost, we recognize that every home is as unique as the homeowner. Cleaning Day NYC pricing is based on a number of factors such as the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, pets, clutter, level of service and needs. Please note that taxes will be applied to your booking. Please see our price rates on our Book Now page and choose the service, the number of rooms/bathrooms, extra services and the price will be shown instantly on our website.

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

Cleaning Day NY does not provide cleaning products and equipment. If you do not have and would like us to bring, there will be an additional charge of $25 for standard cleaning products and $30 for eco-friendly products. Please advise if you’d need us to provide vacuum and other cleaning tools, as we’d be happy to provide at no additional charge.

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Yes, you can respond to your confirmation email or log into your account and add any additional services you would like to be applied to your cleaning.

 

Manage Your Account

How do I log in to my account?

Visit our CustomerLogin Page.

How do I change my password?

You can submit a password change request on the customer Login Page.

How do I reset my password?

Log into your account at our customer Login Page and select “Forgot Password” and enter your email address. From there you will be prompted to complete a password reset.

How do I change my address?

Log into your account at our customer Login Page and update your address on file.

How do I change my credit card?

Log into your account at our customer Login Page and update your card on file. Your new card will automatically be noted as your default card.

How do I book my first appointment?

Simply go to our booking form and schedule your first appointment online. Alternatively, you can give us a call if there are any issues at all.

 

Pricing & Policies

How can I view my Cleaning Day NY credits?

You can apply a coupon to a future appointment by logging into your account and clicking your name in the top right hand corner. You can then select “redeem voucher” and enter your code. The system will automatically apply the code to your next appointment. You can not apply your coupon to past appointment that are already completed.

Why are vouchers for first time customers only?

We offer tons of incentives for our clients such as discounts on reoccurring services, holidays, birthdays etc.

I bought a voucher how do I redeem it?

In most cases you can enter your coupon code directly on the booking form. If you have any issues, please contact us and let us know.

How do I refer a friend?

When your friend books their cleaning, have them select Referral and list your full name for the question: How did you hear about us? The first time booking will be discounted for your friend and you earn a $25 referral reward in your account that can be applied to future service.

Cancellation Policy

We do have a 24hr cancellation policy. If you do not cancel your cleaning appointment 24hrs before your cleaning, you will be charged $35. Same day cancellations are $50 and a no-show (cleaner is at the home and is no one is present to allow them in) you will be charged half of your cleaning price. Unfortunately, we do have to put this policy in place as it does not allow us to provide another job to your cleaner for the short notices we have mentioned above.

Feedback and Complaints

We advise that you or someone on your behalf be at your home to complete a walk through towards the end of your cleaning. This would allow us to address anything that is included in your cleaning but not up to your expectations. If that is not possible, let us know if you’d like photos and/or videos post cleaning, and we will be happy to accommodate! There is 24hr notice policy in place if there is anything that we would need to address.

 

Trust & Safety

Can I trust my cleaning professional?

All of our folks are interviewed and pass a nationwide detailed background check. Only about 10% of the people that apply end up working as a Cleaning Day NY certified cleaner.

What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?

If something goes wrong we’re here to make it right. Please let us know right away and we’ll be there to take care of it. That’s our promise to you!

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

We have three levels of security in place. First off our booking page is protected by extended validation ssl. Secondly our booking form has it’s own layer of 256 bit security. Third, credit card transactions are processed by stripe and is layered on their own 256 security protocol. In addition, no credit card numbers are stored in our system (only a token that allows us to charge the card). Rest assured we take security very very seriously.

Do the cleaning professionals go through a background check?

Yes they do. We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process.

What is your refund policy?

If something is not done to your expectations, please let us know. We’ll send a team out to make it right (please see our feedback and complaint policy).
